About the Practice

Staff: I do not employ a hygienist as I prefer to carry out all treatment myself. Bernadette my receptionist has been at the practice for 14 years . Anna has been with me for 4 years and is a qualified DSA as currently required proposed regulations . The practice complies with all current regulations and protocols with regard to sterilisation of instruments, staff training etc.

I AM NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING ANY NEW PATIENTS UNDER NHS ARRANGEMENTS

NEW PRIVATE PATIENTS ARE STILL WELCOME

Most of my patients have been with me for a long time and I am currently treating the third generation of some families. As a consequence most receive only maintenance or regular observation.

Any treatment I am unable to provide or any necessary specialist complex treatments for example orthodontics are referred to respected and trusted colleagues.

Fees  may be paid in cash, cheque and all major credit/ debit cards are acceptable. They are usually collected on completion of treatment. They will have been agreed prior to commencement although it is not always possible to predict difficulties

Complaints should be addressed to myself either verbally or written I will endeavour to reply to all within 2 days of my receipt. Failure to resolve disputes will result in direction to the appropriate channel for arbitration. The General Dental Council are currently setting up a Private complaints protocol to match that of the NHS.

Appointments for recalls can be made at the surgery in advance patients can receive either a card or telephone reminder. We can even send emails if so desired. A charge is payable for  appointments broken without 24 hrs notice. Patients are asked to attend promptly as today's dentistry is complex so that late arrival has a knock on effect for later patients in the session. To avoid inconveniencing prompt arrivals, patients arriving more than 10 min after their slot may be reappointed. If a session is running late you will be advised on arrival.
