The Boyertown Institute of Science is pleased to present its first and only interactive exhibit. Prepare yourself for a wild adventure into the physics of biking. To start your journey, select one of the topics below.

Gear Ratios -
Understand the workings of your bike! Figure out the best way to optimize your energy. If you're successful, you'll go for hours, with much enjoyment, If you fail, back to bed with you. So don't get left in the dust!

•Friction Force-

Now that you are running at maximum power learn about the forces that will inhibit your performance. Find ways to make friction work in your favor, helping you make up that lost time from when you were napping.

 

•Jumping an Obstacle -

The final leg of your adventure, but beware! Treacherous territory lies ahead, and only experienced adventurers should embark on this trail. If you successfully jump the log, you'll enter the record books. If you fail, danger will greet you, as you fall into the unknown!
