Care of the Prey

You have to make sure that you take care of your prey because if you don't feed the prey then your lizard will not get any nutrition. Remember your bearded Dragon is what it eats.

Once you get the crickets from the store you should let them have access to food. You need to Gut-load the crickets because the store does not spend the money on feeding them. The crickets will be starving when you get them. Don’t feed them to the lizards for the first day until they eat or it won't do the lizard any good.

The same goes with mealworms. I feed both types of prey the Dry Prey Food there are many choices of a food and water source to chose from, some are listed below. You can also use oranges.

You have to maintain a clean environment for the prey because if it gets dirty it will start to stink. It also kills most of your food source.

• 1 cup- Dry Cat Food
• 1/2 cup- Dry Milk
• 2- calcium pills or 1-tsp. calcium power
• 2- multi vitamin pills or 1 tsp. multivitamins powder

Ground up the Dry cat food into a powder
Ground up the 4 pills
Put all ingredients into a bowl
Mix together
Feed To Crickets

Cricket Food Bites (not recommended if have large amount of Crickets because it gets expensive)
