"Tefillah
Bli Kavanah, Kiguf Bli Neshama"- Tefillah isn't reading words- it's
Avodah Shebleiv ( Gemara Ta'anis)
Tefillah
without Kavanh isn't Tefillah (Rambam, Hilchos Tefillah)
Many
people have never really learned that davening has meaning and we were
trained thousands of times to daven meaninglessly. It takes a lot more
effort than that to fulfill this incredible Mitzvah!
Even
Bidieved one is not Yotzeh with no Kavanah for atleast the first Bracha of
Shemonah Esrei.

"Concerning
the thoughts and Kavanos of prayer, everyone is differenct. What is good and
appropriate for one person may be confusing and destructive for the
next...therefore it is impossible to write generalizations and rules. You
should discuss (what is best for you) with your spiritual mentor." (The
Steipler Gaon)
