Commissioned Automata

Church Mouse® Automata is happy to work with you to create specially commissioned pieces.

Recently we were selected by the firm of Christopher Chadbourne and Associates (Museum Planning / Exhibit Design) to submit our proposal for Sculptural Elements (Automata) for a new visitors center at Presque Isle.

Below are some commissioned pieces we have created.

"You Can't Eat Just One"  by Church Mouse® Automata

The football fan sits in his easy chair continually tipping the bag of chips to his mouth
over and over (and over). Handsomely detailed right down to the remote control for his big screen television and the color of his hair and eyes. 
Commissioned for an executive of the Frito-Lay Company in December of 2003.

"Tile By Dan"  by Church Mouse® Automata

Master Tile Craftsman, Danny Averitt, is carefully placing a piece of tile in exactly the right spot. But when it isn't perfectly straight, he tries again, and again (and again). Details include his favorite Joe Boxer underwear label showing, the pencil he always has behind his ear, the sunglasses on top of his head,  his handy tape measure and his "hairy legs".
Commissioned by his parents in December of 2003.
