Our Wooden Wonders

Our Selection of Automata Is Continually Expanding

Church Mouse Circus Wagon No. 1
This is the first in a series of "Circus Wagon" automata.  Turn the crank and a skunk is seesawing with a chimpanzee, but the chimp has a clothespin on his nose for safety! This piece is richly detailed and solidly built to be a showpiece in any collection. All Circus Wagon pieces will be custom built upon request.  Signed and numbered by the artist.

Church Mouse® Circus Wagon No. 2

This is the second in the Church Mouse Circus Wagon
series. Beautifully constructed and detailed, this wagon features three trained circus seals. Two are spinning the brightly colored balls on their noses while the center one bounces his ball up and down on his nose.

The gears, cranks and levers inside the wagon are just as fascinating to watch as you turn the handle. We call this one, "Circus Seals". Custom built upon
request. Commission yours today.
Signed and numbered by the artist.

The third in the Church Mouse Circus Wagon series. We call it,  "Roller Ball Wagon". When the handle is turned, four brightly colored balls travel up the magical staircase and when they get to the top, roll back down and start all over.

There is constant colorful motion and amazement at just how this wooden marvel actually works. Custom built upon request. Commission yours today. Signed and numbered by the artist.

Church Mouse® Circus Wagon No. 4

Our fourth piece is ready for your inspection. Named, "Gone Fishin", this automata features a circus clown in an old fashioned wash tub being used as a makeshift dinghy.  When you turn the handle, the clown actually rows the boat in a delightful rhythm.  Details include an anchor, a fishing pole and real yarn hair. The clown is hand carved and colorfully painted. Commission yours today.

When Pigs Fly
This piece measures 10.5 inches long by 10 inches high. The pig is driven by a crank attached to a scotch yoke. All components are wood with the
exception of a leather "hinge" attached to the wings. Subtle stains and finishes are used to allow the grains of the wood to be seen. Each completed piece is engraved with the serial number and is signed by the artist.

This one is absolutely adorable!
When you turn the handle, the "seaworthy" pig actually rows his dinghy; leaning forward and backward while pulling on the oars. Frame and pig are made of select white pine. Boat and oars are a combination of oak, birch and Honduras mahogany.

"The Magic Shoppe"

The Classic
Climbing Monkey

Our version of this timeless classic is made of solid woods instead of the original tin. He measures 9" high and is completely hand made. Pull the rope and watch him climb. When he gets to the top, just pull him back down and start all over. Hand painted with child safe non toxic paints, but since a rope is used, care must be used when allowing younger children to play with him.
