This is the part of our show where I tell you about myself... This page will be devoted primarily to my sports card collection. There's a link at the bottom to The OBC, a group of card collectors with one purpose in mind- to enjoy the hobby we had as kids.
My collection is basically composed of Mets cards and memorabilia, although the OBC has expanded my horizons to older sets. From time to time I'll throw opinions out on various subjects, ranging from cards to things that are going on effecting all of us (after all, this is my web page, and I can do what I want :)! ). Always feel free to fill my mailbox with you opinions, pet peeves and other general nonsense.
Today's thoughts: As far as collecting is concerned, the hobby has gotten way out of hand. I go to a cardstore and see kids buying a 2 dollar pack of baseball cards. If they don't get a Griffey or Thomas, they get upset and leave the remaining cards on the counter. Geez, I remember putting Mantle cards in the spokes of my bike, because I liked the Mets and not the Yanks. Remember, it's a hobby, not an investment in you college tuition. Sit back, look at your cards from time to time and remember why you like baseball or that player. This is what collecting is all about.
