![]() Loma Alta sits high above the site of Teuchitlan-Guachimonton, on the southern flanks of the Volcan de Tequila, with one of the best views of the Tequila valleys available. Although it has ceremonial architecture of its own, its proximity to the Guachimonton site suggests a close relationship. Its high location and the presence of numerous residential compounds suggests that we may have here a concentration of elite residences, perhaps those who carried out activities in the large Guachimonton site below.
