Location: The Steiner Theatre, 35 Park Rd, London

The workshop is open to ALL levels, that enjoy singing. This course does not constitute an easy option, preparation prior to attending the workshop is essential. You will be provided with a recording of work to be covered in the workshop, which you will be expected to listen to and absorb. From this recording you should obtain a good grasp of the melody line but not necessarilly the arrangement. All chorus music will be provided at the start of the workshop. Folders and Stationary will also be provided. The intention of the workshop is to obtain a high standard of focused performance in a short space of time, working on diction, musicality, dynamics, expression, characterisation, basic vocal technique with Music Theatre repertoire.

What to Expect

A performance of the workshop in the form of a concert is to be expected in front of an invited audience of family and friends. Two free tickets will be issued but further tickets will need to be purchased prior to the concert date at £5.00 each. Coaching will be given on stage presence, on and off stage. For the concert, you will be expected to dress in All Black Smart Clothing and Black Shoes. In addition, soloist will be expected to bring a prop suitable for their performance.

Admission on to our workshop and any of the options are on a first come first serve basis. To ensure a place on the workshop, please contact TheVocalZone@aol.com for an application form and return to The Vocal Zone with payment as soon as possible. There is limited space for solo opportunity, therefore if this is of importance to you please submit a non returnable photocopy of chosen music score along with your application form. Places on the workshop is strictly limited. This enables us to give a concentrated study
