August, 2003 -- Where to now??

Now that the Stuckey's Corporation has their official website online, I've been contemplating where to go with this one. They have let me continue which is pretty cool of them. When you think about it, if someone contacts me to ask a question thinking I am the official store site and I don't respond, they have a mad potential customer. Similiarly, if I give an incorrect answer to a store location inquiry, they lose a sale. So Stuckey's has good reason to limit the use of their image, logo, etc on the internet.

I think that there are a lot of people out there in cyberspace that are interested in the old roadside icons like Stuckey's, Nickerson Farms, etc. In fact, I KNOW it given the number on the hit counter of this site. So my goal is to reinvent the site as more of a tribute to the old traditional Stuckey's stores of yesteryear. I leave the marketing of the modern Stuckey's operation to the official site. Also, I will concentrate on some things their site doesn't feature, such as the competitor chains of Horne's, Nickerson Farms, B. Lloyd's, etc. I will continue to expand one of this site's most popular features, the "Mutants" section.

When you want current information about Stuckey's, like how to purchase candy over the internet or how to locate a store, please go to the official company site at Stuckeys.com. They have a history section which is pretty good, as well. But when you want to travel back in time and take a fond look at the past, come on down to my site, baby.

Sincerely,
Bob
