The History of the Bluegrass Brigade

          The Bluegrass Brigade group was started in 1974 . The group as you see it now has been together 27 years. Their shows present traditional as well as contemporary Bluegrass and Gospel music, with standard instrumentation and varied lead singing with unique harmonies.

          Performing venues are equally varied: festivals, stage shows, churches, corporate events, town celebrations, colleges, the annual music festival at Silver Dollar City (Branson, Mo.) for over 25 years, the SPBGMA event held in Nashville, Tennessee for 23 years, and for President Ronald Reagan's visit to Independence, Missouri.    In 1998 the group played in Vienna, Austria and in 2000 in Dublin, Ireland for various appearances and Ireland's "Open House" TV show.

          Through the years, we have received many group and individual awards from the SPBGMA organization, and we are grateful for the support of our loyal friends.
