Robin Beverton original works in pencil are labours of love
and the fruit of many hours of work. Detail is subsequently built up
painstakingly using both soft and hard leads which results in the finished
image. Each work aims to give the animal portrayed a vivid presence
together with strong individuality. The big cats are his primary focus due
to the plight of these wonderful animals which we share our planet with, and
each piece created with the greatest of sensitivity due to the subject
matter. Robin has been involved in the conservation and study of the
big cats for many years and is closely associated with a Big Cat Sanctuary in
the United States as the official artist to the organisation.
Born in 1959 in the Isle of Wight on the South Coast of England, he began
drawing from the age of 11 years and is entirely self taught. He has now
become an established artist with his works being exhibited in London, Philadelphia
and Florida. His original drawings and prints are now held in
private collections both in the United States and Great Britain.
Robins prints are fine lithographic copies from the original image and printed
to the highest quality using only light fast inks and 300gsm acid free paper,
they are all hand embossed, personally signed and numbered by him from his
studio. All editions are limited to 250 prints worldwide and each
print is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
