  • Ideas: Introduction to Photoshop: "The Big Filter." Cameraless Photography.
  • Tech: What are pixels? Scanning bitmapped images, resolution, file size, saving.
  • Work: Start scanning (time permitting).

Assignment (for 1/28):

  • Two scans, 8 inches x 10 inches at 300 ppi (pixels per inch) each:

    • An Object (anything). try experimenting with motion, lighting, depth-of field or with backdrops. examples.

    • A Textured Material (tin foil, felt, tape, etc. be creative! but nothing messy--keep our scanners clean).
