Brooks/Coronado Associates began in 1977 (formerly Brooks/Collier) as a general architectural practice with emphasis in health and educational facilities. This emphasis reflected the previous experience of the partners and early key personnel, who had begun specializing in health and educational architecture in the late 1960's.

To date, Brooks/Coronado Associates has been responsible for projects having a total construction cost of more than $500,000,000. This work has encompassed a wide range of clients in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Virginia.

A major characteristic of the Brooks/Coronado Associates practice is the high proportion of clients who have utilized the firm for multiple projects. During the firm's history over 60% of our income has been from such clients.
