George John CROWE is my Great Grandfather. He was born in Camden Town, London. His parents were Robert CROWE and Jane CROWE (nee GUNSON).George John married Eliza (Elizabeth) Ann WADDLING at St Mary's Church, in the parish of Somers Town, London, on 27 May 1871.
It is interesting to note that on the marriage certificate of George and Eliza the husbands name is given as John George and he signs as John George. However, there is a note at the bottom left of the certificate changing the name back to George John in 1891, 20 years after they were married! His occupation is given as Smith (Blacksmith).
George John died on 3 June 1929, aged 81, and is buried at Fulham (North Sheen) Cemetery. He outlived his sons George Thomas James and Arthur Henry. Arthur Henry is also buried at Fulham (North Sheen) Cemetery.
