Tower Cooling Systems

The system basically is composed of a water tower and a water reservoir pumping system. Hot process water is delivered to the cooling tower and then fed to a cool water reservoir. From the reservoir, it is pumped to the process again. Heat in the process water is rejected in the cooling tower as it is distributed over the wet deck surface by spray nozzles. Air is simultaneously blown upward over the wet deck surface, causing a small portion of the water to evaporate. This evaporation removes heat from the remaining water. The cooled water is collected in the reservoir and returned to the process.
