§ 503. Manslaughter.

1.    No person shall be convicted of manslaughter unless it can be proven that he recklessly caused the death of the plaintiff without the plaintiff's consent. Such an act or omission shall be considered manslaughter if the person dies within two years of the time the act or omission occurred. Such actions specified as defences to murder shall also be defences to manslaughter.

2.    Manslaughter shall be punished by a term of not less than ten years and not more than twenty-five years imprisonment and damages of not less than £200,000.

3.    No person convicted or acquitted of manslaughter may be convicted of or later tried for murder or wrongful death for the same incident.
