Selene

Most scientists believe a large object, possibly the size of Tiw, hit L'nhraei several billion years ago. The debris resulting from this collision slowly coalesced to form a moon, which L'nhraei's settlers would name Selene, after the Greek goddess of the moon.

Exploration of Selene first took place in 12 AUC, but there were no permanent settlements until 51. Today, about 200 million people live on Selene, mostly on the various maria. Interestingly, because one face of Selene always faces L'nhraei, those on Selene's far side never see the planet they orbit.
