Yoltorians to Open Trade with Commonwealth

by Katherine Branson

CH'TAALA, L'NHRAEI (LNN) – In a meeting with Commonwealth ambassador Natasha Stuart, Ambassador Tolwyn of the Yoltorian Authority stated the Authority's willingness to begin trade with the Commonwealth.

Ambassador Tolwyn describes the Authority as a technocracy, with the leaders working to advance Yoltorian society through technology. Their main concern is improving their economy and continued industrialisation.

The Yoltorians have developed a wide variety of technical advances, including replicators claimed to be 30% more efficient than those in current widespread use. Computer systems, defence, and production techniques are some of the other areas reported as for sale by the Yoltorians.

Such improvements come at a price, however, as the technology for the replicators alone was offered at a price of £3.6 billion. Despite the high price, several companies have already expressed interest.

Anthony Burton of RepliTech is one CEO interested. "Sure, it's expensive," he said, "but it's an investment. There's certainly a demand for better technology, allowing the consumer to not only replicate more things but to save money while doing so."

Ambassador Stuart says she plans to further discuss allowing Commonwealth companies to operate within the Authority. She also hopes Yoltorian companies will choose to locate within the Commonwealth, pointing out there are no restrictions to them doing so.
