My personal mission is to promote golf as a sport for
people with disabilities. Golf is the only sport in which I can compete
fairly and on the same playing ground with someone who is not disabled,
or someone that has a different disability than mine--all thanks to the
USGA
handicap system.
For a person with a disability, learning to play golf
can provide much needed self-confidence and a lifetime's worth of enjoyment.
I play golf with business associates, old friends, and family, just like
everybody else does!
In searching for information on adapted golf over the
years, I've found that valuable information is difficult to locate and
have been frustrated with the fact that there isn't a single place to
go to get information, follow links to various programs, products, and
see which courses in the country are accessible. So, I've built this page
based on my experiences. If you have anything to add, please send
me an e-mail and I will incorporate it in the site.
