About the Abortion Law Homepage:

The Abortion Law Homepage is not affiliated with any political advocacy group, nor any other organization, whatsoever. Its intent is to promote an understanding of the legal questions relevant to abortion law in the United States. It does not seek to offer information of an ethical or political nature. Whether one wants to legalize or criminalize abortion is a political question. Whether abortion is moral on an individual or social level is an ethical question. While these questions, and the answers to them, have an important impact on the law, we must be able to understand the law independently first, before we can properly understand its relation to these other areas. Understanding the law has nothing to do with whether you "like" the law, (i.e., one's politics) or think the law is "right" (i.e., one's morals). The law "doesn't really care what you think," as it were. Theoretically, the it submits only to legal reasoning, moral and political arguments are of limited, incidental relevance. Since, in reality, your political and moral views must co-exist with the law, understanding that law is critical if you want you own views to interact effectively with it.
