As the summer heat tightens its grip on London, an insomniac office worker gets the feeling that the world is going mad around her. She also begins to sense that there is more than meets the eye about the mumbling derelict in the bedsit downstairs. Before long, she is dragged into the shadowy world of a disbanded and eccentric police department known only as 'Section 23', and she becomes a key player in a secret war, as the collective sanity of London is threatened by a mysterious individual known only as 'The Harlequin'. An absurdo-satirical comedy-thriller!
When Jonathan and Maisy, a fashionable and successful London couple, move to an idyllic country cottage, it seems that they are living every city-dweller’s dream. However, as they move in and try to make the house their home, they are disturbed by a series of seemingly ghostly interventions. As the tensions rise, the cracks in Jonathan and Maisy’s relationship become increasingly apparent. Left on her own in the cottage when Jonathan returns to London on business, Maisy starts to uncover the hidden history of the building. When Jonathan comes back, simmering resentments come to the fore; the couple learn that past acts can never be completely undone, and that events can cast their shadow in front, as well as behind. |
