Tom Murphy: a brief autobiography

Early Days: Amid shadowy circumstances, Tom Murphy was born in Liverpool in 1968. After a false start at the Home for Catholic Friendless Children (fact), he grew up in Chorley, Lancashire.

A Mind Like East Croydon Station: He studied English at the University of London, although his PhD thesis - which cast light on the shadowy Protocol of the Elders of Penge and offered incontrovertible evidence that the "bohemian urban village" had once been the home of an ancient, technologically advanced civilisation - was suppressed by the Secret World Government. He still eagerly awaits the day when the skies above SE20 are once again alive with the rustle of silver jumpsuits and the hum of hover-scooters.

Life in the Bus Lane: Since then he has worked in editorial, marketing, and adult education. He has also travelled extensively.

…And This is Me… : He now works as a travel analyst for a risk consultancy, and is also studying for an MA in Screenwriting at Bournemouth University. He lives in South London with his wife Jane and absolutely no ironically named pets.
