Curly Bird Warm Colors

Curly Bird
Here's a cheery little paper peep. Color him with reds, oranges, and
yellows (the warm colors). This curly bird likes to perch on top of computer
monitors!
If you'd like to print these instructions, go to your File menu and
select Print.
What You'll Need:
Red, orange, and yellow crayons or color markers
Scissors
Glue stick
Computer paint program, such as Kid Pix
(or pattern from this page)
Printer with black ink
What To Do:
At your computer, open
a painting program such as Kid Pix, ClarisWorks/Paint, or Windows Paint.
Draw the 5 pattern pieces, as shown here. Print one copy and cut the pieces
out.
Another Option:
- Click here to print a copy of the pattern
that is provided.
- Color each pattern piece using red, orange or yellow crayons or markers.
Turn each piece over and add color to its back side, too. Cut slots into
the crest and tail-end of the body to make feathers. (These slots are shown
as lines on the pattern.)
Roll the head, crest, and body around a crayon to make
them curl. (Be sure the printed pattern faces out when rolled.) Glue the
narrow end of the body to the tip of a middle tail feather. Attach the
head, crest and feet with glue stick.
