RARE Izaak Walton Tin
This is an empty Izaak Walton Sportsman Pack Cigar Tobacco Tin.
The tin was manufactured by Heekin Can Co. (Ohio). It shows
a large image of Walton with a backround of fishing on one side and
hunting on the other side. Izaak Walton was, of course, the author of the
"Complete Angler" published in 1653

Auburn Fishook Company was located in Auburn New York and was bought by
Mustad in 1952. Mustad in the US has their headquarters in Auburn.

These hooks are generally easy to find. However this one is quite different!
Instead of chrome plating over brass, the underside has the brass showing....and

RARE E. (Edgar) HARRAN & Son Spinner Circa 1880's
Not much is known about Harran & Son....
the name can be traced to 19th Century Vermont via England.
This "very unusual" Harran has one blade in copper and the
other in silver. Both blades are clearly marked...... We have never seen this
configuration on a Harran spinner before... Have You?
