Kingston Beekeepers Club membership is for a year from 1st
of October to 31st September.
The subcription rates for 2005/6 are:
Full Individual Member: £32.00
Family Member: £3.05
Associate Member (no bees): £14.50
Hive site rental (at the apiary) £10.00
BDI for more than 2 colonies -
rates for additional hives: 3-5 £2.25, 6-10 £5.25,
11-14 £7.50

Kingston Beekeepers Club Full Membership includes the following

3. The BBKA NEWS
The BBKA NEWS is published five times a year and contains up
to date information and articles relating to beekeeping from the
BBKA. In addition it contains advertisements by services and manufacturers
of beekeeping equipment. Information on advertising rates and
any articles of interest should be sent to the Editor: Mrs S.

5. BDI - Brood Diseases Insurance.
Kingston Beekeepers Club subscription includes BDI for two
colonies. An extra premium is payable for additional colonies.
The members of BDI are the Member Associations. The minimum
payable by each Member Association as a condition of membership
is £1.50 per annum for each of its beekeeping members which
insures two colonies.
Beekeeping members can insure more colonies for the following
additional premiums:
Up to 5 colonies (including the basic two) an additional £2.25
Up to 10 colonies (including the basic two) an additional £5.25
Up to 15 colonies (including the basic two) an additional £7.50
Up to 20 colonies (including the basic two) an additional £9.00
Up to 25 colonies (including the basic two) an additional £9.75
More than 25 colonies (including the basic two) and up to a maximum
of 39 at 45p a colony.
The compensation paid for frames, wax, excluders and honey
is something like the current retail price at fairly large quantity
rate
There are two Schemes.
- One for beekeepers with up to 39 hives and it is managed
by Mr Bernard Diaper 69 Russell Bank Road, Four Oaks, Sutton

- The other for beekeepers with 40 or more hives and it is
managed by Mrs M Homer, Eadie Cottage, Cutnall Green, Droitwich
WR9 0PQ
6. BBKA Public & Products Liability Insurance for Members
Covers individual beekeepers only, who are direct or indirect
members of the BBKA. The Public Liability covers each of our members
in the UK for up to £2,500,00 for each claim. No one individual
to operate more than 40 hives. The Product Liability is a blanket
cover for the whole Association up to £2,500,000.

Headquarters
The BBKA also provide the following services.
BBKA All risks insurance
This can be purchased by Kingston members at additional cost,
and covers loss of or damage to hives and equipment belonging
to an insured member and also bees (where hives are damaged by
insured perils), arising from all risks not specifically excluded.
The annual premiums are:
COST: Home Apiaries - £2.00 per £100 sum insured
Out Apiaries - £3.00 per £100 sum insured
COVER: All Risks of physical loss or damage subject to
£50.00 excess on each and every loss.
SUM INSURED: To represent full replacement cost
Further details and forms of application can be obtained from
our Headquarters at Stoneleigh. NB: When members wish to
claim under these schemes, notification must be sent to the Headquarters
at the earliest possible moment.
Beekeeping Examinations to the highest level.
The following Examinations are held:
Junior £2.00
Basic £6.00
Intermediate, in Modular form £10.00 per Module
Practical £35.00
Senior, in Modular form £10.00 per Module
Microscopy £20.00
Associate BBKA Honey Judge £30.00
BBKA Honey Judge £35.00
Modules for the above examinations are available from the Secretary
of the Examinations Board: J D Hendrie c/o BBKA Headquarters
Audio Visual Aids and Slide Libraries.
The Audio Visual aids and Slide (lending) Libraries are an
important part of the BBKA's service to members. A wide selection
of video cassettes, projection slides and sound cassettes on beekeeping
and allied subjects is available. A microscope slide service is
also available. The demands made are greater each year as more
Associations, local Branches and individuals avail themselves
of this facility when arranging their programmes of educational
activities. Early booking is advised especially for the winter
months. For all bookings please send request to headquarters at
least three weeks before they are required. A combined catalogue
is available, price 75p from headquarters
