Sampler Thread
Care Instructions

If you wash over-dyed threads AFTER stitching, you run the risk of having them bleed. Our Sampler Threads are colorfast, meaning that they will not change color when washed, will not fade if kept out of direct sunlight, etc. They may bleed, however, because when a large amount of thread is dyed by hand, it may be difficult to rinse off all the dye that is lying on the surface of the threads.

It is safe to rinse our Sampler Threads in tepid water BEFORE stitching. Blot them on a white paper or terrycloth towel to see if they will bleed. You may repeat this process several times until they rinse clean. Again, the color will not fade. Let the threads dry (it won't take long) and then stitch. After the piece is finished, you may wash it in tepid water with a mild soap. DO NOT USE WOOLITE!
