Full Unit Hookup Recommendations

Clarion SF & Fantasy Writers' Workshop The Clarion Workshop has become an institution in the speculative fiction field. Where else can a promising writer spend six (long) weeks under the tutelage of seven established writers, all the while writing, critiquing, writing some more, eating, critiquing some more, ..., until the hands cramp and the mind goes blank? Yes, it can be sheer Hell, and sometimes it can be Heaven.
Electric Velocipede A new print publication of Spilt Milk Press. Like another small press magazine which will remain nameless, EV is dedicated to publishing the best new writers around. Check it out!
Fantastic Metropolis Not your run of the mill electronic magazine, that's for sure. FM is an online publishing experiment of Gabe Chouinard and Luis Rodrigues. You'll find fiction by James Sallis, Michael Moorcock, Jeff Vandemeer, and others. And don't forget to peruse the non-fiction categories.
Iguanodon Smile A website promoting the sounds of various artists and bands. Among them are M4, Keg Salad, and Mark Rich.
Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet A print publication of Small Beer Press. As small press magazines go, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet is one of the old sages in the industry. It's usually an eclectic mix of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction. A genuine delight! And don't forget to browse the other publications of Small Beer Press: Kelly Link's Stranger Things Happen, Ray Vukcevich's Meet Me in the Moon Room, and much more.
Mark Rudolph's Place The FUHU editor's personal website. Not really a recommendation, but if readers of FUHU would like to know more about the editor, this is the best place to start.
The Science Fiction Poetry Association For as little as $ 18.00 a year, you can get the bimonthly magazine Star*Line and become a member of the oldest SF poetry organization in the known world. But there's more--you'll be able to vote for the Rhysling Awards too!
The Speculative Literature Foundation SFL is non-profit grassroots organization whose mission is to promote literary quality in speculative fiction by encouraging promising new writers, assisting established writers, facilitating the work of quality magazines and small presses in the genre, and developing a greater public appreciation of speculative fiction.
Strange Horizons One of the best electronic magazines for speculative fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Updated every Monday, this e-zine has something for everyone. You'll find works by both new writers and old pros. Check it out!
Tangent Online One of the few places where you can read reviews of short speculative fiction. Print magazines, e-zines, anthologies, etc., it's all here, and most of it is free too. If you'd like to read the most recent reviews, you'll have to pay for the access, but for only $ 5.00 a year, it's well worth it.
