Profile Of Courage

Relentless Persistence and Determination!

This page of our website focuses on a profile of courage centered around the founder of F.A.M.E.  If anyone deserves a badge of courage it's Bonnie Nunnally.   Since the life of her youngest son was taken by way of a violent  homicide she has demonstrated amazing strength, fortitude and  resilience.  Not only has she had to deal with losing her son in such horrific manner, but she has also had to live with the pain of knowing that no one has been charged or convicted of committing this crime.  There are a number of people who are living with that same nightmare, but what makes Bonnie different is that she has taken it upon herself to help fight for justice on behalf of her son, and also for others who have suffered the same tragedy.  Bonnie has not been afraid to express her dissatisfaction regarding how the system has handled her son's case.  She has been very vocal about her feelings, while others have been hesitant to speak out.  She has been involved in meetings with local law enforcement and judicial officials, FBI and even the State Attorney General's Office.  Her relentless pursuit of justice has served notice to everyone involved in this case that she will never give up until the individuals who are responsible for the death her son are charged and convicted.

Bonnie, along with the rest of the members of F.A.M.E., has been the driving force behind bringing a Cold Case Task Force to Calhoun County.  Hopefully this special unit will be able to bring closure to some of the surviving families that have been waiting patiently for justice to prevail.  I think that  everyone who has suffered the lost of a love one through the act of a violent homicide, and is still waiting for justice, should be mindful of what Bonnie Nunnally has done......and in the future if they become a surviving family member who obtain closure to their case, because of the work of the Cold Case Team, they owe it to Bonnie Nunnally for her undying effort and courage.
