The call was sudden, the shock severe, to part with one you hold so dear.
We didn't have time to say farewell or time to say good-by
You were gone before we realized and only God knows the reason why.
We think of you in silence we often speak your name,
the family chain is broken, and nothing is the same.
Our hearts still ache with sadness, our silent tears still flow,
for what it meant to lose our brother no one will ever know.
A lot has happened since you've been gone,
your children's life had just begun.
Your daughter Danasia, is doing fine, she often speaks your name,
she tells us, "uncle, I'd rather have my Daddy back,"
than to look at his empty frame.
Your son Jermel ll, is almost four,
he has loving ways like you that we all adore.
Mom's on a mission to make things right,
only God knows the reason for her personal plight.
There has been no justice in honor of your name,
so our Mom founded a group, and called it F.AM.E.
Derrick has produced a rap in dedication of you,
he tells about the heartache, and the pain we all went through.
You left behind so many things, words of wisdom so great and small,
an attitude to appreciate life, "I did it my way" was your call.
