Io non so esattamente perche' Fausto Coppi, il "campionissimo",
sia diventato un mito in Italia ed in Europa: probabilmente perche' alla fine degli anni quaranta tutta la gente
in Europa aveva bisogno di sognare ed egli fù, in quegli anni, il piu' grande campione dello sport piu'
popolare in Europa. O , forse, perche' le sue vittorie furono sempre spettacolari, con chilometri di distacco fra
lui e gli altri . E non dimentichiamo che fu il primo a vincere Giro e Tour nello stesso anno. Cosi' non so dire
perche', ma so che e' ancora una leggenda per moltissimi appassionati e che non vogliamo dimenticare il "campionissimo"

I don't know exactly why Fausto Coppi , the "campionissimo",
has become a myth in Italy and Europe: probably because in the late 40s all the people in Europe needed something
to dream and he was in these years the biggest champion of the most popular sport in Europe. Or, maybe, because
his victories were always spectacular, with kilometers between him and the others. And, don't forget, he was the
first man to win the Giro and the Tour in the same year (1949).So, I don't know why, but I know he is still a legend
for a lot of people and we don't want to forget the "campionissimo".
